East Singida MP (Chadema), Tundu Lissu has received a guarantee after the request of the State lawyers to request the Court to deny the right of conscientious objection to be dismissed by the Kisutu Resident Magistrate's Court.
Magistrate Ward, Wilbard Mashauri has made the decision today, on July 27 demanding Lissu to have two trustworthy trustees where each of them signals a Sh10 million bonus.
He also requested him not to leave the city of Dar es Salaam without having a court permit.
On July 24, a panel of four lawyers for the government, Kishenyi Mutalemwa, Simon Wankyo, Paul Kadushi and Missile Magigo submitted an appeal in court on requesting Lissu any other guarantee.
A panel of 18 lawyers advocating Lissu, led by Fatma Karume and Peter Kibatala asked their client to be secured.
In his case, Lissu is charged on July 17 in Ufipa Street, Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, saying that 'The Fiveth Phase Government under President John Magufuli is a family, ethnic, regional and religious discrimination.'
